All 2012 bookings include a free Rock Your Frock photo shoot after your wedding day, a great chance to wear your dress again and be photographed without the time constraints of the wedding day.
The blog has gone a bit cold over the summer months de to the high demand of summer weddings this year, its been fantastic and we've had the pleasure of photographing some fantastic couples and their friends and families, we've also branched out with weddings in other parts of the country including Birmingham and London. The feedback has been great this year and our style is really standing out from the crowd. We will shortly be posting more images directly to the blog but in the meantime the Facebook page Fields of Suffolk has a few of this years images already listed.
We recently moved home which I'm sure you know from your own experiences is a real drain on time, in fact we still have a garage full of boxes which will slowly be emptied over the winter months (hopefully before the weather gets to bad as I need to put away my beloved karmann Ghia for the winter) though if the first part of October is anything to go by I may not need to. Our new home is at least habitable and Sam has already caught up with Big Brother and the X-factor and the new season of Americas Next Top Model starts soon too (I watch that purley for the lighting set ups you understand :0).
The studio has been a little neglected too, due to the wedding season however we have a good number of bookings coming up through October and Novemeber that will take us nicely up to Christmas, we plan to have an opening day celebration in spring of 2012 and will be inviting clients past and present along to see the the new layout and share some champagne.

Rock Your Frock in Felixstowe Suffolk

We had a fantastic Rock Your Frock shoot with Sarah on the beach at Felixstowe on Saturday morning, we started early with a 6.00am start and used a combination of natural light from the lovely early morning diffused sunlight and off camera flash to get some loely images, we've already uploaded a teaser image to the Facebook page Fields of Suffolk so please drop by and have a look. We are also currently working on a redesign of the website and have uploaded new images there as well, please take a look and let us know what you think http://www.fieldsofsuffolk.com

We are constantly looking for new places to shoot so if you know of a location that you think would suit one of our Rock Your Frock sessions anywhere around the suffolk countryside then please get in touch. The sessions are proving very popular and we have had a number of intesting enquiries which we will be shooting over the coming months as well as this years summer and autumn weddings.

Looking for a Wedding Photographer?

Hi nice to meet you,

So you’re looking for a photographer to cover your wedding day?

What are your main considerations, price, quality, expertise, album sizes, print sizes or maybe you’re wondering if you can have a canvas or whether your photos can be displayed on an iPad or uploaded to Facebook this could be quite a long list couldn’t it?

So where do you go from here to answer all these questions?

How about Fields of Suffolk you can contact us directly via our email address or telephone us, (already you have nice simple choices surely that’s a good thing).

Initially we will need your wedding date to make sure we are available. If we are, then the next step is to set up a meeting, nothing to worry about there, we’ll invite you along to the studio as this gives you a good opportunity to see our work and begin your wedding photography ‘experience’. We like to sit down and have a chat about your day and how your plans are going and what type of photography you are looking for. Whilst we chat you can view images from weddings we have covered in the past on a projected slideshow. This gives you a chance to get to know us as well as see the quality of our work because we feel it’s really important that you are comfortable with your photographer on such an important day. The first meeting is purely about introducing you to our ‘style’ because we don’t do rigid stand in line photography, we tell the story of your day in pictures. (we get the important family shots but the emphasis is on you the bride and groom, but more about that in the second meeting.) Once we’ve covered off the basic information about your day, you can have a look through our sample albums and we talk you through the pricing and how our design style and your choices fit together to create our bespoke products which give you the flexibility of matching our products to your wedding budget, again it’s all part of your wedding photography ‘experience’. That’s it there’s no pressure, the choice is yours to book us or not, you can take away our terms and conditions and our pricing and have a think about what you want. All we ask is that you let us know within 7 days so that the date isn’t tied up for too long.

If it’s a yes a deposit of £250.00 secures us for your wedding date. We will then set a date for a second meeting closer to your wedding day to go through the finer details.

We look forward to meeting you.

November Wedding in Ipswich

Sunday the 28th of November saw Fields of Suffolk covering the wedding of Ruth and Steve at Isaacs on the Waterfront in Ipswich, the day's coverage started at Felixstowe hairdressers Forty 7 who opened especially to get the bride and close family members ready. Once hair and make up were done we moved onto the brides house to photograph the dress and shoes before doing a mock leaving with the father of the bride, with these images recorded and backed up, we moved onto the venue to meet up with the groom and best man Wayne and get some images of them before the rest of the guests started to arrive.

The ceremony was at 16.00 so we knew in advance that light would be our motivating factor in how we shot the wedding as well as the cold snowy weather, we used a combination of fast lenses, off camera flash and our newly acquired Lowel ID video light to record the various aspects of the day.

The images of the day are now all safely backed up in readiness for editing.
